HMS Nancy Shipwreck - War of 1812

The HMS Nancy was a British schooner that played a role in the War of 1812 and was ultimately destroyed in a battle on the Nottawasaga River in 1814. Her wreck, found and raised in the early 20th century, is now a key feature of the Nancy Island Historic Site in Wasaga Beach, Ontario.

Walter's Presentation will focus on the development of his novel "The Final Year".  This explores the events around the War of 1812 and the final demise of "The HMS Nancy" in the Nottawasaga River.
